Finding your Pachislo Slot Machine Volume Control.

Pachislo Slot Machines were designed for real casino's and therefore you will find that the volume in your den or rec room will probably be quite excessive, especially if the machine is set to one of the higher volume selections.  Most machines have 3-5 volume levels.  To adjust the volume level you will need to locate the setting switch. This switch is usually located near the edge of one of the circuit boards and may be on the back of the front door or on one of the main boards within the machine.  You will be able to see it if you open the door and search for a 3 or 5 position sliding switch.  Once you locate the slider, not the position (write it down) and then move if LEFT if it is mounted horizontally or UP if it mounted vertically.  Make the machine spin as you normally would and note whether the sound has been increased or reduced.  If it has been increased, move the switch in the oposit direction as far as it will go and then spin again to see if the volume has deceased.  If the volume does not change, place the switch back into the position you found it, you may have the wrong switch.  The volume slider is usually larger than other selector switches on the board.

Other ways to reduce volume on your slot machine

If you have located and adjusted the volume control on your Pachislo Slot Machine but still find the volume too loud, there are several things you can do to help reduce the volume.  Most of the machines have more than one speaker, many have 3 or 4! You can disconnect a speaker in your machine by tracing the speaker wire from the speaker back to the circuit board.  Most connections are made with a slide in connector with a raised piece in the middle.  You will need to depress the raised piece in order to slide the connector out of it's housing.  Once the connector is out, that speaker will no longer produce sound.  Keep in mind that most Pachislo Slot Machines operate in stereo, therefore unplugging a speaker may effect not only the volume but also the sound quality to some degree.  The good news is your wife will be able to hear the TV again.

If you don't want to disconnect any speakers, then you can place packing tape across the speaker holes on the machine provided that the speaker hole surface is flat.  This works well if you have speakers down near the bottom of the slot machine near the coin tray.  You may have to use some goo gone once you choose to remove the tape, a small price to pay for a quite slot machine.

Setting the skill level of your Pachislo Slot Machine

To set the skill level on your machine, you will need to turn the machine off, locate the key that switches between normal operations and setup, this key will have a vertical (normal) and a horizonal position.  Turn the key to the horizonal position and turn on the machine.  On the front door you will see a small press switch. Sometimes it has a LED readout displaying numbers 1-6 and sometimes it doesn't.  Occasionally the skill level is displayed on the machines front LED display if there is now LED readout by the switch. Press the switch and you should see the display change numbers from 1-6. The numbers indicated different payout percentages with 1 being the lowest and 6 being the highest.  Once the LED shows the number of the level you want, press the toggle that you normally would to spin the machine.  This will place the setting into memory.  You can then turn the key to the normal play position to resume playing the slot machine.

Pachislo Slot Machines Random or Skill Stop?

Many people sell Pachislo Slot Machines as SKILL STOP slots.  The fact is that skill has nothing to do with your slot machine hitting winning combinations.  Sure it's fun to tell your friends that it does and have them try to hit the buttons to make the reels stop in the right locations, but let's get real.  When you hit the spin button, your Pachislo Slot Machine picks a random outcome based on the the payout percentage setting (see above).

If the percentage is set high (6) you will have a greater frequency of payouts and jackpots.  However the result of your spin is determined the moment you hit the spin button.
Hitting the reel stop buttons quickly, slowly and in any order has no bearing on the outcome.  If you play your slot machine a lot, you probably already know this.  Therefore in my opinion, calling the machines skill stop slots is a bit misleading.  You can test this theory by the way by spinning your reels and then refusing to press the stop buttons.  Every Pachislo machine I have come across will stop the reels automatically after 15 - 60 seconds. Try it and see!

Winning Slot Machine Combinations!

Ever wonder why it is that your machine never hits the jackpot unless the win light(s) are lit?  That's because your machine has two different modes.  When you play Pachislo Slots, you will never hit that 777 or BAR BAR BAR unless your win light is on!  This always makes me wonder why people in Japan would play the machines when this light is not lit.

Basically, the machine will randomly enter a WIN mode after any spin whenever the random number generators pick the right combination.  If you are not in the WIN mode, you will only hit small payouts and not the big bonus or big chance.  Once the win light has been activated, the machine could hit the big bonus or big chance combination within 1-40 spins.  Some people might think that this makes play Pachislo Slot Machines less fun, but it is almost as fun to try and light the win light as it is to hit the jackpot!
