Sauces, relishes, & marinades

 

Sweet & Sour Sauce

1 cup (250 ml) white sugar
1 cup (250 ml) white vinegar
1 cup (250 ml) ketchup

Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a sauce pan. Bring to a rolling boil. Boil for about 5 minutes, the reduce the heat to simmer.  Continue to simmer for several hours. Make sure that you stir once in a while.

Tasty Barbeque Sauce

4 tbls ketchup
4 tbls white vinegar
1 tbls olive oil
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbls worcestershire sauce
1 tsp horseradish
1 tsp dried basil
salt & pepper to taste
note few drops tabasco sauce

Mix all ingredients until well combined.  Can be stored in the
refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

note Note:  Add as little or as much as you like.
