<description>Multiple Juno Award winning Stephen Fearing is one of the foremost performing singer-songwriters in Canada. The consistent quality of work produced over Stephen Fearing’s two decades plus career has earned him a West Coast Music Award for Best Folk Music Recording and five Juno Award nominations as a solo artist. Mixing powerful lyrics, creative arrangements and brilliant guitar playing, Fearing has built up a loyal and dedicated international audience with a wide range of songs - from his 1988 release Out to Sea, to his last Juno winning album Yellowjacket.

				      <title>Saturday, 12 December, 2009 - The Nutcracker</title>
				      <link>http://www.durhamcentral.com/eventcalendar/events/index.php&#63;com=detail&amp;eID=586</link>
<description>The Nutcracker is presented by the Quinte Ballet School of Canada, one of the country&#39;s top training grounds for classical and contemporary dancers.

Clara and her brother Fritz don’t see eye to eye on the Christmas gifts being handed out by their eccentric uncle, Drosselmeyer. After some arguing and a damaged Nutcracker doll, the children are finally sent off to bed to await the arrival of Father Christmas.

But, on the stroke of midnight, Clara is awakened by the on-goings in the parlour. Upon closer inspection she finds that her Nutcracker doll has grown tall and the mice in the house are very restless.

The story continues to the Land of the snow maidens and beyond to the Kingdom of Sweets.

This traditional holiday classic will inspire and excite audiences of all ages.

Tickets range from $$15 - $$25 and are available by calling 1.866.962.9274.
