The Nutcracker is presented by the Quinte Ballet School of Canada, one of the country's top training grounds for classical and contemporary dancers. Clara and her brother Fritz don’t see eye to eye on the Christmas gifts being handed out by their eccentric uncle, Drosselmeyer. After some arguing and a damaged Nutcracker doll, the children are finally sent off to bed to await the arrival of Father Christmas. But, on the stroke of midnight, Clara is awakened by the on-goings in the parlour. Upon closer inspection she finds that her Nutcracker doll has grown tall and the mice in the house are very restless. The story continues to the Land of the snow maidens and beyond to the Kingdom of Sweets. This traditional holiday classic will inspire and excite audiences of all ages.
