The Preston Pub

The Preston Pub is founded on a rich history of family fun and tradition. The Preston Pub was named after Robert Preston who was both the original owner of the property and the Mayor of Oshawa from 1926 to 1930. Robert Preston and his family resided in a home built on the northwest corner of the property.

His property also offered a tourist camp which provided recreation and entertainment. People from near and far came to enjoy the scenic cabins the camp offered; paddle-boating, swimming, viewing various animals on display (especially the two monkeys Maggic and Jiggs), and enjoying delicious food from the unique ‘tea-pot’ diner.

To give you an idea of the camp’s uniqueness, the famous diner was actually an old railcar from Oshawa which featured a six foot tea-pot on it’s roof, which had actual smoke coming out of it’s spout! People came from miles around to swim at the camp’s dam where Preston provided changerooms by the creek.

Today the Preston Pub provides a cozy atmosphere to have a pint and enjoy Pub Fare!  The unique stone floor and fireplaces provide an environment unlike any other pub in the area.  Friendly wait staff and great food also make the Preston a great choice!

Live bands on Friday and Saturday night, open mic night on Thursdays!
