Northwood is fully licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. Northwood also provides Educational tours for Public Schools, Senior Citizen Groups and Special Needs Groups, to name a few. With Education being one of our main goals, we pride ourselves in sharing our experience and knowledge not only with the general public, but also with students involved in Work / Education Placements through the Oshawa business school and Durham College as well as Secondary School Co-op Placements. We are also participants in the Ontario Disability Support Program, Scugog & Durham Region Tourism, various community events and also charitable organizations such as The Children’s Wish Foundation.

Nebs Funworld

Regular 5 pin bowling is available during business hours with shoe rentals too.  NEBS also has several bowling leagues and evening Cosmic Bowl where music is pumped in through an amazing sound system!  There are also 6 lanes which can be used for 10 pin bowling.

Nebs attractions also feature an indoor go cart track, rock climbing wall,  bumper cars, jumping castles, family himalaya ride, the sky screamer ride and air tag!

Tobogganing

There is no better way to become accepting of Winter than to go screaming down a really good hill on a piece of polished plastic or a slicked up plank of wood that they call a Toboggan.

So pack up the hot chocolate and healthy snacks and head on out for some FUN excercise!

Jungle Cat World

Jungle Cat World is involved with the captive breeding and management of threatened and endangered species, working with and supporting a variety of Species Survival Plans (SSP) and Population Management Plans (PMP). Animals include the rare Amur leopards (Panthera pardus orientalis), Snow leopards (Uncia uncia) and Ocelots (Leopardus pardalis).

Jungle Cat World is listed with the Canadian Wildlife Service to assist them in the enforcement of the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). It also offers refuge to animals that have been confiscated by the Canadian government due to illegal ownership and practices.

We feature 45 species of tame Exotic and Domestic animals that feed from your hand in an open interactive environment. We are situated on Oshawa’s Oak Ridge Moraine.

The Oshawa Zoo is entirely funded by the Visitors that pass through our gates, and the sale of animals to other zoos across Canada.

Oshawa Zoo and Fun Farm opened its gates July 29th, 1993. Our goal was to have a clean, green, interactive mix of friendly exotic and domestic animals.

The enclosures and paddocks were to be made large enough that the grass would remain thick and green during the entire season. We have set out to exceed national Zoo standards for size. Children and animals would be able to interact through the fences for feeding and petting. Kids could grow up with friends in the animal world that they know by name, grow up with them as they feed orphaned animals by bottle, until those animals have babies of their own.

Our Teddy Bear Workshop is available for children to build an animal of their choice and dress it with a large selection of clothing and accessories to choose from. Our accessories fit all 15″ bears.

Extreme Laser Tag is a pure physical adrenaline rush! All players come out of the game so excited that they turn in their vests, phasers, retrieve their score card, and go straight back and do it all over again. This is one attraction you won’t want to miss.

We have lots of games that take 1 token and give the kids tickets that they can get prizes. Our ride-on toys take 2 tokens. The tokens are only 25 cents each and we will refund any unused tokens, no questions. The prizes go from 5 ticket candy and toys to larger prizes sometimes worth over 10,000 tickets.
